Dear listeners, this program will take you on a special sightseeing tour of Rouen, Normandy, northern France. That is, tourists, led by employees of the Bureau of Tourism, sit on a special vehicle, stand with both feet on the Segway electric car and explore the key landscapes of Rouen together.
In Rouen, there is nothing better than a ride on a Segway. The tour desk staff can help you find out how this unusual vehicle works on the streets of Rouen.
We meet at the Mobilboard agency, a Rouen assembly point for power vehicles located near the Rouen Theater of the Arts. After a brief introduction of the organizers to the principles of the Segway, the tourists put on their helmets and started riding the new wheeled scooters.
The guide accompanying the rental pulley was very easy to explain to us how the Segway works. After a few minutes, we almost immediately found a balance and control over the device.
The first stop was in front of Notre Dame Basilica in Rouen and our guide let us commemorate the moment before heading back to the pedestrian streets of Rouen. The speed of the Segway is limited so as not to interfere with passers-by who clearly have priority.
Our guide asked us to take some photos before going out on the Rouen Pulley to the pedestrian street. The speed of the Segway pulley is limited to x, so as not to interfere with pedestrians on the street, who clearly have priority.
Shannon street. We use a Segway to rediscover some of the characteristic streets in the heart of this medieval city.
We continue our slow walks on the pulley from beaten track to beaten track to discover unusual places such as the old salt shakers of Rouen in the passage of the old mill under the rue de la République.
At every point, our guide told us anecdotes, for example, in front of the Saint-Vivien church, whose clock was made by one of the watchmakers of Gros-Horloge.
The roller coaster tour continues to the City Hall Gardens where we take a break. As we admire the gardens, Saint-Ouen Abbey, and the walls behind the town hall, our guide unties the pulleys of our Segways to make it easier for us to glide.
After walking in front of the Parliament of Normandy and the Gros-Horloge, we returned to the starting point to finish our walk, at which point we wished we had stopped sliding on the Segway.
Even though we are all new to Segway, we were able to get the hang of it quickly and glide along the walkways in the city center with ease.
Whether you are an adult, a child, young, old, sporty or not, learning how to ride a Segway is easy and will allow you to make an extraordinary discovery in the capital of Normandy. One thing is for sure, once you’re at the right point, all you have to do is get back on the pulleys and start wandering around again.
The information you need to know when traveling by pulley through the various scenic spots of Rouen is that it costs 30 euros per person, including the cost of coach training. All ages can slide, the weight must be at least 30 kg, the supplier also provides helmets, there are guides in English and French, and the duration of the pulley tour is 1 hour, 1 hour 30 minutes or 2 hours.
