The principle of operation is mainly based on a basic principle called “Dynamic Stabilization”, that is, the vehicle’s own self-balancing ability. The built-in Solid-State Gyroscopes determine the posture of the body, and the precise and high-speed central microprocessor calculates the appropriate instructions to drive the motor to achieve a balanced effect.

List the main components of the main body of the two-wheel electric balance vehicle:

1. Control circuit board (that is, we often say motherboard), the control circuit board contains sensor module, operation module, motor control drive module;

2. Balance sensing components (i.e. gyroscope, or combination of gyroscope and accelerometer, as for why there is a combination of gyroscope and accelerometer, we will answer in detail in the article How two-wheel electric balance vehicles work);

3. Motor, the motor used on the two-wheel electric balance vehicle or unicycle electric balance vehicle can be roughly divided into DC motor, stepper motor and servo motor from the functional point of view; From the structure, it is mainly divided into brushed motor and brushless motor (you can refer to the article on choosing brushed motor or brushless motor for self-balancing electric vehicles to understand the difference between brushed motor and brushless motor); From the balance vehicle motor scheme, it is divided into independent motor plus gear (that is, the reduction box in the figure), the transmission scheme and the wheel hub drive scheme integrated with the turbine.

4. Batteries, currently used in balance vehicles are mainly lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries;

5. Other parts, including carriages, wheels, etc.

Its built-in modules are not much different from unicycles, control modules, gyroscope modules and motors. The two-wheel self-balancing control system is a kind of two-wheel left and right parallel arrangement, driven by the motor, two wheels instead of your feet, and the joystick controls the direction.

By sensing changes in the body’s center of gravity to adjust the direction, the body leans forward, backwards backwards, and stands steady, which is the so-called “dynamic balance” principle.

In fact, the whole feeling is a bit like the rolling log game we played, the higher the angle you lean forward, the faster the car will be, just enough to maintain balance.

Of course, the balance bike has not only the modules mentioned above, it has a complete set of intelligent running systems to make you safer during driving. In principle, as long as the power is turned on and sufficient power can be maintained, the balance bike is still safe to drive, and the possibility of falling is very low.
